Creating new users
New users can be added from the Users-menu by clicking ‘+Add users’. Here you can see all the options that are available. Choose ‘Copy/paste from Excel’ and follow the step-by-step guidance. Match the Excel columns to the Teisko user attributes and assign the wanted app.
Adding new users to an app
New users can also be added from the App page by navigating to the App/Users tab and clicking ‘+Add users’. Here the users are automatically assigned to the app. You begin by copy/pasting the users from Excel, match the columns to the user attributes (email, first name, last name, user role, tags) and add the users.
Updating user attributes
You can update the user attributes to existing users. This process follows the same step-by-step guidance as adding new users.
Start modifying the user attributes by navigating to the App/Users tab and clicking ‘+Add users’. Copy the users from Excel, paste them to Teisko, and match the columns to the related user attributes. Teisko automatically detects if a user already exists and provides you with an option to just update their user details. The email address is the key for all actions allocated correctly.
Updating app user roles
App user roles are critical information, for example in Access Reviews. The purpose of an Access Review is to ensure that the right people have the right level of access. In Teisko, the level of access is synonymous to the ‘User role’.
With the Copy/paste from Excel feature, you can easily add, modify and delete the user’s roles in apps.
Start adding and modifying the user roles by navigating to the App/Users tab and clicking ‘+Add users’. Copy the users from Excel with the user role column, paste them to Teisko, and match the columns to the related user attributes. For the access level column, choose ‘User role’ in Teisko. If the user already exists, Teisko automatically replaces the current User roles assigned. By choosing ‘Add User roles if user already exists’, the User roles are not replaced but added while keeping the current ones. The email address is the key for all actions allocated correctly.
Updating user tags
With the Copy/paste from Excel feature, you can easily add, modify and delete user tags.
Start adding and modifying the Tags by navigating to the Users tab and clicking ‘+Add users’. Copy the users from Excel with the tag column, paste them to Teisko, and match the columns to the related user attributes. If the user already exists, Teisko automatically replaces the current Tags assigned. By choosing ‘Add Tags if user already exists’ the Tags are not replaced but added while keeping the current ones. The email address is the key for all actions allocated correctly.
